91社区 Administrative Assistants and Associates launch annual online auction to support student scholarships

The 91社区 Administrative Associates are calling on faculty and staff to support the organization's annual Online Silent Auction, with proceeds going directly toward funding student scholarships and staff development!
91社区 faculty and staff are encouraged to contribute new items鈥攕uch as gift cards, treats, crafts, office supplies and more鈥攖hat can be combined into creative and competitive auction packages.
The auction is a long-standing tradition that helps fund three annual scholarships awarded to 91社区 students. Proceeds from the event go directly to the scholarship fund.
鈥淓very donation鈥攂ig or small鈥攎akes a meaningful impact,鈥� said Julie Minette, President of the Administrative Assistants and Associates. 鈥淭his is a chance for 91社区 employees to support our students while having a little fun with friendly bidding and creative baskets. This year we are doing something brand new to spur on the creativity of the baskets and the bidding. We will reward the office whose basket has the highest bid with a pizza party for up to 20 people."
How to help:
- What to donate: New items for auction baskets (e.g., themed gifts, snacks, gift cards, handmade goods)
- Where to donate: Drop off items to Carol Blair, Social Work Department Senior Administrative Assistant, in EDC 0129 by November 3.
- Auction dates: November 17-21 (online platform link to be shared soon)
The Administrative Associates welcome individuals or departments to collaborate on basket themes. Past popular themes have included 鈥淐offee Lovers,鈥� 鈥淩elaxation Station,鈥� 鈥�91社区 Spirit鈥� and 鈥淢ovie Night.鈥�

The 91社区 Administrative Assistants and Associates is the longest running employee organization at the University, started in 1971 at Centennial School by Mary Lue Russler. The organization has fundraised for scholarships over the years through bake sales, card parties and apple butter sales. Today, members fundraise with the greater 91社区 community thorough the annual online auction. By donating or bidding, faculty and staff play a direct role in supporting 91社区 students鈥� educational journeys through scholarship opportunities.
